Launch Scheduled

The official launch of Hiking Trails of Mainland Nova Scotia has been scheduled. It will be held on Monday, October 22 in the Captain William Spry Community Centre at 16 Sussex Street in Halifax, from 7-9 pm. There will be a short presentation by the author followed by a book signing. Copies of the newly published book, as well as Hiking Trails of Cape Breton, will be available for purchase. The evening will be hosted by Hike Nova Scotia.

Other activities, such as guided walks at Cape Split, Rogart Mountain, and on The Bluff Wilderness Trail, are being planned for the weekends of Oct. 27-28 and Nov. 3-4. There will also be book signings at a number of local retail outlets. Further details will follow when the full list is confirmed.

This newest guide is the largest yet, with 60 routes profiled. It also contains far more photographs, a number in colour, and higher quality maps. Combined with Hiking Trails of Cape Breton, published in July 2012, and Trails of Halifax Municipality (2010), there are now 130 profiled routes available for your walking and hiking exploration!

I hope to meet you at the launch.
