N.S. land plan calls for more protected areas, park expansion

Plans unveiled Thursday, February 28, in Dartmouth call for, among other things, bumping up the protected-area percentage to more than 13 per cent from about 9.4, expanding 11 parks, adding four new ones and transferring 2,150 hectares of parkland that would be classified as protected areas.
